Our Story

Diamonds & Dust ® is an Australian owned small rural business created in 2016 born from my love of living in the Heart of the Pilbara since 2009, in the remote outback northwest town of Tom Price, flanked by the exquisite Karijini National Park. Being inspired by the landscape surrounding me, I craved to replicate scents that evoke emotions of favorite places travelled in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia's Northwest & have recently added our Southwest Collection to reflect life in the Wheatbelt.

With life taking a different direction in 2019, our son heading off to board at Agricultural Collage 1800 kilometers away from us in the Southwest & selling my retail bricks-n-mortar Gift Store in Tom Price, I now live between the remote Pilbara (1600klms north of Perth) & rural Southern Wheatbelt (250klms south of Perth) on our 100 acre property where we loan our cropping land to a neighboring farmer to grow cereal crops, like oats & barley. In summer after Harvest is complete, we run up to 300 head of Merino ewes to keep the stubble down.

In mid 2019 my purpose built candle workshop was complete on the farm. Having no access to power or water on the property made for a challenge needing to run a commercial size wax melter. After lots of effort, brainstorming & teething issues, the workshop was up & running built solely from the ground up by my amazing husband (who's a mechanic not a builder!) Powered by a full off grid solar system with inverter & a generator for back up power (mainly for the melter) & rain water tanks, all which greatly helps to reduce our ecological footprint on the farm. The workshop is fully insulated with Earthwool, made from recycled glass & sand to help it retain a relatively consistent thermal temperature which works amazingly in our environment.

Diamonds & Dust ® Candle Co has become a popular candle brand since its launch in a tiny Tom Price Gift Store & has now grown throughout Australia with people purchasing on the East Coast, in the Northern Territory and as far south as Tasmania via our website. Our family of retail stockist stores are located from the Southwest up to the Kimberley region. What started out as a vision has now become my passion and I'm so delighted to share it with you.

Made by hand in carefully controlled small batches, we’re proud to have produced these exquisite, quality products to happy customers and look forward to continuing our work for years to come! My love for the products and hearing how much others enjoy them, helping to take a little time out to sit back and recharge from the daily bustle of life, drives who we are and what we do, every single day.
